My wife and I were coming back from an art festival about 2 years ago when I saw a free Bench for sale on a social media page. I said, "I think I can make something out this bench". So, I transformed the bench into American Flag Bench. I now build benches for first responders and I have also built heart-warming Memorial Benches out of my garage in Cumberland, RI.
If you have a vision I will build it. Marguerite, my wife is the Foreman. Not one bench leaves until she gives the green light; we are a great team! Many people in our Rhode Island community have donated benches for our cause, and I have also purchased used benches throughout RI.
I also transform old rocking chairs into custom chairs for teachers. I have learned on trial and error, and I continually refine my process. Have something in mind? Give us a call 401.862.2803 or use the Contact Us link from this webpage.

I meet all kinds of Veterans, Police Officers, Firefighters, people who have a story about what they have done. It’s pretty amazing!
I built one for a Vietnam Vet, Purple Heart Guy and I will never forget the look on his face when he received his bench. I smile still!
A draftsman by trade, my calling is to transform old wooden park and garden benches into shiny American Flag -inspired benches.
"I had reached out to Alan to see if he could make a memorial bench for my Father to be setup at his favorite golf course on Cape Cod. From start to finish he kept me up to date with the progress of the bench with pictures or a simple phone call. Truly amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail, our family can’t thank him enough. His memory will live on forever!!!"
